Labor Day trip to Licking MO

The whole family (my parents, Libby, Roan and I) took the long trip to our hometown for Labor Day weekend. We're from Licking, a small town South of Rolla MO. With kids, the trip takes about 6 hours. Most all of my aunts and uncles live there, along with some cousins, and other family. My aunt Tressia...affectionately called "Aunt TeeTee" by Libby and Roan, have a huge farm in Licking, and the the kids desperately love to spend time there.

We got there Friday night. Saturday morning, we went to the cemetery to visit grandparents, then on to Montauk State Park to see the fish hatchery. Later that night, we had a big bonfire and weenie roast.

This is Roan coaxing the bonfire along...he didn't believe that Uncle Johnny is a master bonfire builder!

One of the kids' favorite activities at Aunt TeeTee's house is the scavenger hunts that she puts together. This is Libby, Roan and Rylee heading off to get their first instructions for the hunt.

We got to spend a lot of time with family and we had a great time! It's a long trip, but really worth it!
